Solarstone

Richard Mowatt, born 1972, commonly known by his stage name Solarstone, is a British trance DJ and producer based in Birmingham and Wales. The music project Solarstone was founded in 1997 as a trio, and also used the pseudonyms Young Parisians, Liquid State and Z2. Over the years, Solarstone has developed a reputation for keeping to the original and classic trance sound. Mowatt is considered to be a veteran by fans in the trance music scene.

Solarstone has produced and released trance, progressive and chillout music since 1997. Originally a group consisting of Richard Mowatt, Sam Tierney (1996-1997) and Andy Bury (1997-2006). Solarstone became Mowatt's solo project after the departure of Bury.
