Variable Speed of Light (VSL) Cosmics
Definition: An alternative framework in theoretical physics that alters the constancy of light speed across different spatial sectors, using tensor calculus to model a non-uniform, highly malleable universe. A class of cosmological models in which the speed of light is not constant, but varies over time or space, used to address problems in cosmology such as the horizon problem, and sometimes extended into metaphysical or consciousness-related claims.
The Masking Mechanism: The mask uses legitimate VSL cosmology – a real, if speculative, field – and presents it as if it were a well-established or widely accepted theory, while often exaggerating its implications beyond physics (e.g., linking it to consciousness, healing, or galactic evolution). The term “cosmics” adds a vague, expansive tone that overplays the scope of the model.
Lorentz Invariance Breaking – While a few mainstream physicists have proposed VSL to solve cosmological puzzles, it has been heavily co-opted by alternative free-energy and anti-relativity groups. They construct beautiful, alternative tensor fields where Einstein‘s constant c fluctuates based on localized “spiritual” or “etheric” densities, using flawless coordinate transformation calculus to hide their anti-Einstein agendas.
Genuine Parallel: VSL Theories and modified gravity models. VSL is a legitimate, if exotic, cosmological hypothesis, proposed by theorists like João Magueijo and others. It remains speculative and is not part of the standard cosmological model.
