Dashuria e Fidras\u00eb ndaj Hipolitit ishte di\u00e7 si &#8220;d\u00ebnim&#8221; p\u00ebr Hipolitin, sepse ky nuk e kishte &#8220;\u00e7uar n\u00eb vend&#8221; d\u00ebshir\u00ebn e Af\u00ebrdit\u00ebs (per\u00ebndesh\u00ebs s\u00eb Dashuris\u00eb) q\u00eb t\u00eb dashurohej n\u00eb t\u00eb (dmth. n\u00eb vet\u00eb Af\u00ebrdit\u00ebn). Pa\u00e7ka se e bukur sa vet\u00eb Bukuria, pa\u00e7ka se vet\u00eb per\u00ebndesh\u00eb e Dashuris\u00eb (t\u00eb gjitha fijet e &#8220;dashuris\u00eb&#8221; i mbante vet\u00eb n\u00eb dor\u00eb, gjith\u00eb shigjetat e Amorit a t\u00eb Kupidonit i p\u00ebrkuleshin vullnetit t\u00eb saj), ja q\u00eb ndonj\u00eb zem\u00ebr djaloshare ngelet kryene\u00e7e, nuk gjunj\u00ebzohet.<\/p>\n<p>Af\u00ebrdita ndjehej e fyer q\u00eb Hipoliti nuk ndjente p\u00ebr t\u00eb, por vazhdoi si ndjek\u00ebs i devotsh\u00ebm dhe virgj\u00ebror i per\u00ebndesh\u00ebs Artemisa. Si d\u00ebnim Af\u00ebrdita e &#8220;b\u00ebri&#8221; Fidran\u00eb t\u00eb dashurohet n\u00eb Hipolitin &#8211; e cila pastaj, duke qen\u00eb e refuzuar dhe e fyer, do t&#8217;shpifte p\u00ebr Hipolitin&#8230; dhe tutje &#8220;refuzimin&#8221; ky do ta paguante me jet\u00ebn e vet.<\/p>\n<p>Duke qen\u00eb vet\u00eb per\u00ebndesha e Dashuris\u00eb, Ad\u00ebrdita shkaktare e vuajtjeve dhe e dhimbjeve (n\u00ebp\u00ebrmjet Fidras\u00eb, Af\u00ebrdita e &#8220;realizon&#8221; hakmarrjen e vet), miti nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb ndonj\u00eb &#8220;pasqyrim&#8221; i lavdish\u00ebm i femr\u00ebs (i veseve joracionale, ego-istike fem\u00ebrore).<\/p>\n<p>Edhe Hipoliti, edhe Teseu vuajn\u00eb p\u00ebr shkak t\u00eb Fidras\u00eb, sikur q\u00eb dhimbjen e ndjen dhe Fidra, e vuan dhe ajo vet\u00eb. Fidra e shqet\u00ebsuar nga refuzimi i Hipolitit, i &#8220;loj\u00ebs s\u00eb dashuris\u00eb&#8221;, synon ta shkat\u00ebrroj\u00eb reputacionin e tij. Pra miti na flet se hakmarrja, si\u00e7 besonin grek\u00ebt e lasht\u00eb, sjell dhimbjen, vuajtjen e po ashtu sjell dhe tragjedin\u00eb. Fidra \u00ebsht\u00eb gjithashtu emri i nj\u00eb tragjedie t\u00eb Senekas\u00eb (Seneka i Riu, filozof, shkrimtar dhe burr\u00eb shteti, intelektuali m\u00eb i madh i Rom\u00ebs gjat\u00eb messhekullit t\u00eb par\u00eb t\u00eb er\u00ebs son\u00eb. Si senator Seneka qe vler\u00ebsuar p\u00ebr aft\u00ebsit\u00eb oratorike. Ishte tutor dhe m\u00eb von\u00eb k\u00ebshilltar i perandorit Nero. Si shkrimtar Seneka \u00ebsht\u00eb i njohur p\u00ebr veprat e tij filozofike, dhe p\u00ebr dramat; tragjedit\u00eb).<\/p>\n<p>Edhe pse e martuar me Teseun, Fidra ra n\u00eb dashuri me Hipolitin (djalin e Teseut nga nj\u00eb grua tjet\u00ebr &#8211; Hipoliti ishte ose i biri i mbret\u00ebresh\u00ebs s\u00eb Amazonave, Hipolita, ose i motr\u00ebs s\u00eb saj, Antiopa). Mir\u00ebpo Hipoliti e refuzoi at\u00eb. Nga inati, Fidra i shkroi Teseut nj\u00eb let\u00ebr ku thoshte se Hipoliti e kishte dhunuar at\u00eb. Theseu i besoi gruas s\u00eb vet (natyrisht) dhe e mallkoi Hipolitin me nj\u00ebrin nga tre mallkimet q\u00eb i kishte marr\u00eb nga Poseidoni (kjo sipas Homerit). Si rezultat, kuajt e Hipolitit qen\u00eb frik\u00ebsuar nga nj\u00eb p\u00ebrbind\u00ebsh deti dhe e t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn ashtu jasht\u00eb kontrollit, deri n\u00eb vdekjen e tij.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00eb nj\u00eb version tjet\u00ebr, pasi Fidra i thot\u00eb Teseut se Hipolyti e kishte dhunuar, Teseu e vrau Hipolitin, dhe nga ndjenja e fajit Fidra pastaj b\u00ebri vet\u00ebvrasje, ajo s&#8217;kishte p\u00ebr q\u00ebllim q\u00eb Hipoliti t\u00eb vdiste.
