The synth-pop genre, though, primarily originates in late 1970s \/ early 1980s [New Wave], the post-punk \"alternative\" rock movement that encompasses a wide range of styles and attitudes. There are some non-New Wave synth- pop bands like Pet Shop Boys, but on the whole, the synth-pop scene of the 1980s was dominated by a faction of New Wave bands that embraced the use of electronic instruments and|\u2794|<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span>, Hi-NRG<\/strong>Hi-NRG is a higher-BPM style of dance music that was very popular in the 1980s, especially in gay nightclubs. It evolved from disco, preserving the four-on- the-floor kick drum and emphasizing strong melodies and simple octave bass lines, but also having a harder, more rock-like sound, with pop vocals and snare hits on the 2s and 4s. In addition to the main beat, there was usually an accompanying second, a syncopated \"shuffle\" rhythm, often made with a tambourine or similar|\u2794|<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\nEurodance<\/strong><\/span>

Eurodance is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in Europe, particularly in Germany, in the late 1980s, combining elements of house, techno, hip hop, and Eurodisco. It is characterized by upbeat tempos, catchy melodies, and a mix of male rap verses with female sung choruses, often featuring strong synthesizers and bass rhythms. <\/p>

Eurodance gained significant traction in the 1990s, with hits from artists like Snap!, 2 Unlimited, and La Bouche. By 1995, it dominated European charts. However,<\/p>

[ London Boys ] \u2013 (Members: Dennis Fuller<\/strong>, Edem Ephraim<\/strong>) London Boys was a German dance-pop group consisting of Dennis Fuller, Edem Ephraim, and their record producer Ralf Ren\u00e9 Mau\u00e9<\/strong>.
