\nDokumenti i vitit 1902 shpjeguaka se k\u00ebto kartolina e paraqesin Juan Pedro Aladro Kastriotin, i cili pretendonte prejardhjen nga Sk\u00ebnderbeu! Kartolinat paskan qarkulluar n\u00ebp\u00ebr kryeqytetet evropiane t\u00eb asaj kohe si Paris, Rom\u00eb, Athin\u00eb… Ato qenkan gjetur tek dy individ\u00eb, Nuri Frasheri dhe Basco Barbatassi, duke dashur t’i shp\u00ebrndanin kartolinat n\u00eb Perandorin\u00eb Osmane. Qenkan gjetur s\u00eb bashku me nj\u00eb kalendar t\u00eb shtypur n\u00eb gjuh\u00ebn shqipe, i cili nuk \u00ebsht\u00eb p\u00ebrfshir\u00eb n\u00eb dosje.<\/p>\n

Postcards of Juan Pedro Aladro Kastriota, Albanian Pretender – The document explains that these postcards feature the image of Juan Pedro Aladro Kastriota, who claimed descent from the Albanian Skanderbeg. Skanderbeg was a famous 15th century Albanian nobleman who was also an Ottoman governor that rebelled against the Ottomans and became an obstacle to their early expansion. In claiming descent from Skenderbeg, Kastriota, a Spanish citizen, was thus claiming a place as an Albanian nationalist leader and pretender to the Albanian throne, which was theoretically threatening for the Ottomans.
\nThese postcards circulated throughout European captials such as Paris, Rome, Athens and St. Petersburg. They were found on two individuals, Nuri Frashari and Basco Barbatassi, who wanted to destribute them in the Ottoman Empire. They were found alongside a calendar printed in Albanian, which is not contained in the folder.
