\nAgjencia Komb\u00ebtare e Turizmit t\u00eb Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb (AKT) thot\u00eb se “ekzistojn\u00eb mendime t\u00eb ndryshme lidhur me origjin\u00ebn e emrit Tirana. Disa mendojn\u00eb se ka t’b\u00ebj\u00eb me Tyrrenia (nj\u00eb em\u00ebr me origjin\u00eb etruske), nd\u00ebrsa t\u00eb tjer\u00eb besojn\u00eb se ka t’b\u00ebj\u00eb me fjal\u00ebn Therand\u00eb (korrje), ose me Tirkan (nj\u00eb k\u00ebshtjell\u00eb rr\u00ebz\u00eb malit Dajti)”.<\/p>\n

Sipas Agjencis\u00eb Komb\u00ebtare t\u00eb Turizmit, Tirana \u00ebsht\u00eb “evropiane”, moderne, ka l\u00ebvizje dhe energji t\u00eb pafundme, ashtu si t\u00eb gjitha metropolet e tjera evropiane. M\u00eb pati vajtur buza n\u00eb gaz me moton e tyre “Tirana, qytet q\u00eb s\u2019ndalet kurr\u00eb”.
\nE qart\u00eb, shqiptar\u00ebt nuk ekzagjerojn\u00eb duke th\u00ebn\u00eb “qytet q\u00eb nuk fle kurr\u00eb… qytet q\u00eb s’e z\u00eb gjumi” etj., k\u00ebso t\u00eb ngjashme. Pasi dihet, kjo mund t’thuhet vet\u00ebm p\u00ebr Nju Jorkun.<\/p>\n

Pavar\u00ebsisht, duke qen\u00eb dhe zemra e vendit, duke qen\u00eb dhe qytet-kryeqytet, Tirana padyshim \u00ebsht\u00eb qendra m\u00eb dinamike e Shqip\u00ebris\u00eb. Jo “padyshim”… por \u00ebsht\u00eb, mund dhe ta d\u00ebshmoj n\u00eb cil\u00ebndo koh\u00eb dinamik\u00ebn marramand\u00ebse t\u00eb Tiran\u00ebs…<\/p>\n

\nPra sa p\u00ebr emrin askush s’e di, njer\u00ebzit mund ta marrin me mend (o k\u00ebshtu, o ashtu, o ndryshe), p\u00ebr fat t\u00eb keq askush s’mund t’na thot\u00eb di\u00e7 me siguri rreth emrit “Tirana”. Gjithsesi sipas meje, njeriu s\u2019mund ta em\u00ebroj\u00eb Tiran\u00ebn tek ashtu me emra turqisht, “Tarkan, Tirkan, Tarkana\u2026”!
\nMbase e mundur, por s’do duhej. Do ishte “fraktur\u00eb” e v\u00ebshtir\u00eb, anise gjuha s’ka kocka, mund t’i jap\u00ebsh sa andej sa k\u00ebndej, edhe kjo q\u00ebndron. N\u00eb vesh\u00ebt e mi Tirana ting\u00ebllon m\u00eb shum\u00eb si “Theranda” – t\u00eb pakt\u00ebn ndonj\u00ebher\u00eb! Kurr\u00eb nuk ting\u00ebllon “Tarkana”, as “Tirkan”.<\/p>\n

Mir\u00ebpo, padyshim sepse un\u00eb e dua Tiran\u00ebn, p\u00ebr mua \u00ebsht\u00eb qyteti m\u00eb i bukur i bot\u00ebs. Thjesht s\u2019m\u00eb p\u00eblqen ideja se Tirana na qenka nj\u00eb lloj “fondacioni turk”. Mund t\u2019jet\u00eb, aq m\u00eb b\u00ebn, sikur dhe askujt s\u2019i b\u00ebhet von\u00eb. Thjesht s\u2019jam n\u00eb akord – s\u2019m\u00eb p\u00eblqen t\u00eb akordohem me at\u00eb ide (qoft\u00eb dhe n\u00ebse t\u2019na ishte fakt, gjoja di\u00e7 e v\u00ebrtet\u00eb : )<\/p>\n

Dhe po, Tirana \u00ebsht\u00eb relativisht “e re”, e sakt\u00eb kjo. Nd\u00ebrtesa e par\u00eb qe nd\u00ebrtuar rreth v. 1614. At\u00ebbot\u00eb nj\u00eb feudal vendas e pati nd\u00ebrtuar nj\u00eb xhami, nj\u00eb hamam\u2026 dhe + ca fjal\u00eb tjera “turke”. Dhe rishtas po, titulli i tij “dallues” ishte Pasha – rishtas po, at\u00ebher\u00eb\u2026 s’kishte as “Shqip\u00ebri”, ishte vet\u00ebm nj\u00eb “torte” e \u00ebmb\u00ebl e Perandoris\u00eb Osmane. Shqip\u00ebria ishte thjesht nj\u00eb llokume, sheker-milet-vilajet, nj\u00eb \u00ebmb\u00eblsir\u00eb turko-ballkanike, p\u00ebr gati 5 shekuj!<\/p>\n

Imagjinoji ata apa\u00e7\u00ebt e ngrat\u00eb q\u00eb u detyruan p\u00ebr 5 shekuj t\u00eb gjaaaaaat\u00eb t\u00eb b\u00ebhen “federalist\u00eb”. \u00c7far\u00eb turpi, apa\u00e7\u00ebt dhe vet\u00eb, fare me vullnet mund t\u2019ishin b\u00ebr\u00eb\u2026 dmth. do ishin b\u00ebr\u00eb le t\u2019themi “konfederalist\u00eb”, \u00e7far\u00eb tjet\u00ebr, what else : )<\/p>\n

Pra njer\u00ebzit mund ta marrin me mend, mir\u00ebpo askush s’mund t’na thot\u00eb me siguri di\u00e7 rreth emrit “Tirana”. (Albanians today are the proudest people of Europe – even after 500 years they didn’t “forget” they are Albanians, nothing else but “Albanians”<\/strong>! : )<\/p>\n

S. Guraziu – December 2017<\/em><\/p>\n

People can guess, but nobody can say for sure about the name “Tirana”. Some think that it relates to Tyrrenia (a name of Etruscan origins), while other believe it relates to the word Theranda (harvest), or to the Tirkan (a castle at the foot of Mount Dajti).
\nDon’t know, according to me, you can’t name Tirana “Tarkan, Tirkan, Tarkana…” just like that! It’s a difficult “fracture”, though the tongue has no bones. In my ears Tirana… sounds more like “Theranda” – at least sometimes! But probably because I love Tirana, it’s my “favo-city”, the most beautiful city in the world. I simply don’t like the idea that Tirana is a kind of “turkish foundation & delight”. It could be, who cares, I totally dislike that idea (even if it may be a fact : ).<\/p>\n

Yes, Tirana is relatively “youngish”, the first building was constructed in 1614. A local feudal lord eracted a mosque, a hamam… and few more such “turkish” words. Yes, his “distinctive” title was Pasha, and again yes, back then… there was no “Albania”, it was just one sweet “cake” of the Ottoman Empire. Albania was a Delight (llokum), Sheker-Milet-Vilajet, a Turkish Ballkan-Pie, for almost 5 centuries long!<\/p>\n

That’s why Albanians today are the proudest people of Europe – even after 500 years they didn’t “forget” they are Albanians, nothing else but “Albanians”! It’s not an exaggeration. I mean… that’s a miracle, imagine after 5 centuries just few Apache tribes left. If you collect them all over the 50+ States, you could put all Apache nations… for example in Vlora. Imagine, a single small city, Vlora alone has more people than all Apache tribes together. Just imagine how “big” those 50 states of America-Federation are! Imagine those pitiable Apaches who were forced for 5 centuries long to become “federalists”. What a shame, Apache people voluntarily could have been… lets say “confederalists”, what else : )<\/p>\n

Accordding to National Tourism Agency of Albania, modern “european” Tirana has never-ending movement and energy, just like all other European metropolises. (I was smiling, perhaps this means “a city that never stops”, they’re not claiming “a city that never sleeps” – this could be said only for New York : ) Newertheless, being the heart and capital city, Tirana is unquestionably the dynamic center of the country.<\/p>\n
