Falco & After The Fire – Der Kommissar (1982, Videos)

…only later, almost 15 later, I learned that After The Fire was another band, they simply just did a cover, til then I always knew Falco was singing the other version (of his song) in English : )

“Der Kommissar” (“The Commissioner”) is a song recorded by Austrian music artist Falco in 1981. The song was written by Robert Ponger and Falco. It reached the top of the charts in many European countries. An English translated cover version by the group After the Fire in 1982 had greater success in other countries.

…and here Falco singing – of course, thus I never had seen that other video (of After The Fire), only the original of Falco was known to me, at that time I was young and there was no Internet, we got MTV but also there you couldn’t watch every single video that came out, music industry was as “big” as it is today, without Internet the world was even bigger, as a boy you couldn’t follow every single song or video of this world, to achieve that perhaps you had to never sleep, hanging on all nights of your life at the discoteques or somewhere : ) later I learned, even Michael Jackson was somehow “privileged”, by appearing on MTV he had broken some “ices” out there : )
