Stardate 412.27.2 – During our first mission, we were faced with Federation DoAE measures. We were forced to interview some of our ship’s crew, in the hope of getting a clearer picture of who should be removed or transferred. The directives dictated that there should be no conflicts of interest between the Admiralty’s senior leadership and the officers on board.

The Department of Admiralty Efficiency, or DoAE, was created by Astra-Admiral Tumpton via an executive order. Tumpton vowed to use the unit to cut Federation Credits waste and slash Federal regulations.
It became clear very soon, it wouldn’t be easy. Beginning with the first interviews we learned about the bitter details. It turned out to be the most difficult task of our mission. The Phoenix crew members had already been filtered and “scanned” during procedures at Delta 93, our recruiting base. However, DoAE officials were given the authority to sift through all Federation databases.

None of the Phoenix’s crew members had anything to do with Federation policies. Yet we were faced with the very bitter situation of their suspension. Rumors have spread throughout the quadrants that the explosion, or the “unforeseen dismantling” of the Galaxy Class Starship two weeks ago, is pure evidence of the intertwined interests of DoAE and the Admiralty.

Astra-Admiral Tumpton during the press conference stated that DSI (Diversity, Service, Inclusion) may have been involved to sabotage the Starship. Although the investigation has yet to begin and the results will take several weeks, if not months, Admiralty leader Tumpton said that he believes that the Klingon Empire must be held responsible. According to him, members of the Klingon race are neither worthy nor trustworthy to serve in the Federation Starfleet. This is the reason why DSI can no longer have credibility within the framework of Starfleet.
