…at first I thought “an old post”, then I saw “Emily James, June 28 at 12:40 AM” – so dear Emily (from Texas : ) sorry but I am seeing this photo on FB at least since Facebook was founded (in 2004… I guess – when it was founded exactly?) thus for at least 20 years now, but I’ve NEVER seen this “machine” in real – perhaps isn’t a Photoshop joke, it could be a real machine, even if it’s real one I wouldn’t call it a “machine” (come ooon, is that such a complex machine then, not at all), in NL all you see is bricks, bricks, bricks… in my view 97 % of the bricks aren’t changed the last 100-150 years, for at least 1-2 centuries nothing has “changed”, no brick has been replaced (don’t be fooled by few modern offices you may see there in Amsterdam or Rotterdam, it’s true there you may find some corporate modern glass buildings too : ) what I mean is:
for example, just few years ago someone built a huge library in Arnhem, in the middle of the city (100%… the centre), believe me nothing “new”, of course you can say “just my opinion” but in my view it looks like ARCHI-TORTURE to the modern era, the building is the “same” as if it was built 200 years ago, bricks are so natural here, just like rain, just like cheese (would say your President-adhocrat Mr. Trump 😉 it seems the possibilities with bricks are LIMITED, you can do this with bricks and that, not more than what you’ve done the last 200 years, bricks in Netherlands feel somewhat the same as when snow falls, you see snow falling… and after a while everything becomes white – so, is now the sky a “machine” ?! : )
