Riccardo Guasco – “Astrazione” (illustrations as a great homage to art history)
‘Astrazione’ is a project that unites some of the greatest artists in history with the actual product of their artistic instinct, it is a multiple work that brings together each character with the result of their art.
With essentiality Riccardo Guasco reduces to the minimum some photographs by Miró, Matisse, Picasso, Kandinsky, Depero, Haring, Leger, Rothko, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Warhol and Klee and then transforms them into illustrations inspired by their respective artistic movements. Pop Art, Fauves, Land Art, Cubism and Futurism are just some of the references presented in Astrazione, a rare project capable of telling the history of art and teaching it to everyone with simplicity and effectiveness.
